The product is the context Scoop uses to sharpen creator discovery, personalise outreach, and check drafts — so the more you tell it about what you're promoting, the better everything downstream gets.
What "adding a product" means
In the Product step of project setup you can either pick a product from your connected Shopify store — the link, image, and price come in automatically — or paste a product URL and let Scoop read it.
Either way, Scoop builds a short summary of the product: what it is, who it's for, its category, and its price point. That summary becomes reusable context that the AI features draw on throughout the campaign. You only fill it in once.
Sharper creator discovery
Without a product, Scoop can only match creators against your brand in general. With a product attached, it also scores each creator against the specific thing you're selling.
That means discovery and vetting surface a product fit signal alongside the usual brand and content fit — how well a creator's audience and content line up with this product, not just your brand overall. A skincare brand launching a men's line, for example, gets creators matched to that line rather than to skincare in the abstract. Better matches up front means less manual filtering later.
More relevant outreach
When Scoop drafts your outreach messages, it uses the product context to write pitches that reference what you're actually promoting. A message that mentions the specific product — and why it fits that creator — reads as genuine and lands better than a generic "we'd love to work with you." You still review and edit every draft before it sends.
Better draft reviews
When a creator submits a draft, Scoop's AI Audit checks it against the deal's Do's and Don'ts and the campaign context. Having the product attached lets the audit flag things like whether the product is actually shown, shown clearly, and featured the way you intended — before you approve the post rather than after it goes live.
Smarter Public Invite Links
If you share a Public Invite Link for creators to apply, product fit feeds into the auto-approval gate along with content and brand fit. Applicants who genuinely match the product are prioritised, so you spend less time sorting through applications that were never a fit.
You can add or change it later
You don't have to attach a product to get started, and nothing is locked in. You can add a product, swap it, or update its details at any time from Project Settings. Changes apply going forward — new Discovery searches and outreach use the updated context, while existing deals are left as they are.
If your campaign spans several products, it's usually cleaner to run a project per product (or per collection) so each one gets its own tailored context, rather than stretching a single project across everything.
