How does AI Creator Discovery work?

Written by Abid

AI Creator Discovery (sometimes called AI Smart Discovery) is how you find creators on Scoop without scrolling through endless profiles. You describe who you're looking for in plain language, layer on a few filters, and Scoop returns a ranked list of creators that match.

It's built to feel like talking to a creator marketing manager who knows every active creator on Instagram and TikTok.

Writing a Discovery prompt

In the search bar, type what you want in your own words. For example:

  • "Plant-based food creators in the UK with engaged audiences in their twenties"

  • "Gen Z gamers on TikTok who post product reviews"

  • "Skincare creators with under 100k followers who already work with clean beauty brands"

You don't need to be precise. Scoop interprets the prompt, picks up vertical, geography, audience age, and content style, and converts it into a search across creator marketplaces on Instagram and TikTok. For tips on writing prompts that get better results, see how to write a good AI Discovery prompt.

Layering on filters

Below the prompt you can tighten the search with structured filters. Platform, follower range, and creator gender appear directly below the search bar. Additional filters are available under Advanced filters:

  • Locations. Where should the creators be based

  • Language. Filter by the creator's primary language

  • Creator age. The age range of the creators

  • Minimum engagement. Set the lowest acceptable engagement rate

Filters and the prompt work together. Use the prompt for nuance and intent, and filters for hard constraints like "must have at least 50,000 followers in Germany".

Confirming and vetting

Once Scoop finds creators that match, you'll see a confirmation screen showing how many were found along with a summary of your criteria: what to look for, format, tone, and deliverable type. You can view all the matched creators before committing, and edit any part of the criteria if needed.

When you're ready, click Vet creators. Scoop then runs a profile analysis on each creator to check how well they actually match your brief.

Shortlisted Creators

Once the vetting is complete, creators automatically appear in your Shortlisted Creators tab. From there you can review the analysis results and decide to add them to a project or drop them.

Discovery only surfaces creators with 5,000 or more followers, so profiles below that threshold won't appear in results.
